What to Expect

MONTEPULCIANO :  was a crucial town in the history of this region from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance, when it was once a major trade centre. Today it is famous all around the world for its red wine (Vino Nobile).  MONTALCINO :  that owes its name to the Holm-oaks (ilex in Latin), surrounding this hilly area. Its stronghold has always been of crucial importance due to the town’s strategic position on top of a hill. It is home of the world famous Tuscan wine, Brunello. A ruby color, a typical scent, a dry and lightly tannic taste stand as its major, successful features.

BAGNO VIGNONI : a small medieval village where the main square called Springs square is a large pool of thermal waters.

ORCIA VALLEY : view of the idyllic landscapes of this beautiful Natural Park.

SIENA : with its medieval architecture, the towers and characteristic alleyways that give to the city its proud and elegant aspect. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the main town square, is one of the most unique italian  squares, and holds the historical Palio, an horse race involving all the districts, called contrade, of the city. We can suggest you some restaurants and wineries famous for their quality as well as scenic locations. However if there is a particular place you have heard about and would like to visit, please let us know and we will try to include it, so make sure you book your services in advance. We can also organize personalized wine tasting tours to other famous wine producing estates around Tuscany.

PIENZA : standing high atop a hill dominating all the Orcia Valley with extraordinary views. The ideal city of the Renaissance, created by Silvio Piccolomini who later became Pope Pius II. You can admire The Cathedral, The Papal Palace, The Town Hall, the lovely central square.

SAN GIMIGNANO : a magnificent example of a Medieval urban town where you will have time to visit the village and its splendid squares, palaces, churches and the magnificent towers.

MONTERIGGIONI : one of the most important walled castle in the province of Siena with its 14 towers. Few steps into the village and you can reach the main Piazza di Roma onto which the Church of Santa Maria Assunta faces The  Castle has a consolidated notoriety because was cited by the “supreme poet” Dante Alighieri in his famous work “ The Divine Comedy “.
